Wilderness First Aid, CPR/AED/First Aid
Corey was born near the Shawangunks in New York and raised in central New Jersey. His love of the outdoors stems from being a boy scout, summer camps at the local environmental education center, and summers spent on long island. After spending most of his life hiking, camping, kayaking all across the east coast, and doing field work in Costa Rica, he was introduced to rock climbing one random day in July. Climbing started as a simple passion to share with his closest friends for Corey and is quickly developing into a lifelong pursuit.
Corey began guiding through the summer of 2016, soaking up as much information and experience as he could find, both during his private time and working as a part-time guide. He has spent nearly a decade working as either a camp counselor in some outdoor capacity, or educating the public about the importance of wildlife and conservation. His pursuit of the outdoors is furthered by a Masters of Science in Biology.
When he is not in the outdoors Corey is furthering his knowledge of the natural world in school as well as anything related to climbing.
Corey’s passion for climbing has taken him all over the country to places like Big Bend in Utah, The Red and New River Gorges, the ‘Gunks, and Carter’s Lake, Colorado with future plans of exploring even further, including a trip to Kenya; and his passion for hiking has taken him from the Galapagos to the rainforests of Costa Rica, to the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia.
