Damon was born and raised in Central Pennsylvania. His passion for outdoors began when he was very young on family climbing, backpacking and camping trips. In 2002, Damon joined Boy Scouts and his love for outdoor adventure took off like a rocket.
In 2010, Damon started working at his local Boy Scout Camp. He worked there for 5 years as a BSA Climbing Instructor and as a BSA C.O.P.E. (Challenge Course) Instructor. In 2015, Damon became the Climbing/C.O.P.E. Director for Susquehanna Council, BSA and he currently still runs the program. He is very active in Scouting. He earned the Eagle Scout and was inducted as a Vigil Honor Member of the Order of the Arrow, Scouting’s National Honor Society. In 2014, Damon began working as an assistant Rock Climbing Guide.
Damon is currently a student at Luzerne, a competition climber, a Route Setter at Milton Rock Gym and assists in coaching the youth climbing team. Damon is also a Leave No Trace Trainer, a volunteer leader in the BSA, works at the local BSA summer camp for 2 months during the summer and enjoys skateboarding in his downtime.
Damon enjoys climbing all over eastern United States, but his favorite areas are The New River Gorge, Coopers Rock and Mt. Gretna.
